Six countries, 3 weeks, thirty hours without sleep and Natasha does not know where she belongs; she questions the language she speaks, her customs; she constantly wonders if the word “home” means “place of passage”. Natasha is funny, strong, nomadic; she is movement, she is music, she is breaking; she is a product, she is an influence. Natasha doesn't know if she is Natasha or if she is Kastet.

I wanted to take her to that place where the mind stops talking and only acts, where unknown characters live, where stillness and time feel absent and blur the who and the now. A feeling that becomes comfortable but does not last long. It is 4 am and Natasha must catch another plane; surely to one of the places she calls home.

Together with Natasha Kiliachikhina (a.k.a Kastet) we started a portrait series in 2023 and met again this year. She is one of the most recognized Breaking dancers in the world; the interest we have with these series is to move away from her mainstream image that her fans and the Breaking scene have of her and focus on finding that intimate, fragile and grounded side.
